Taylor Swift's full name Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on the 13th, 1989 West Reading, Pennsylvania U.S.A. Taylor Swift became an incredibly popular songwriter and singer in early 2001 with her stories of heartbreak. Swift was a fan of music from an early age. She swiftly made her way up the ranks, beginning with roles in children's theater and eventually performing before crowds of people. Swift was eleven years old when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball game. After that she started writing her own songs and picked up the guitar. Swift made original music which was influenced by popular country musicians such as Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks), and Dixie Chicks. Her material expresses her life as a tween. In the year 13 Swift's parents sold their farm in Pennsylvania to move into Hendersonville Tennessee so she could spend more time to courting country labels within the vicinity of Nashville.
